Location: Perth, Western Australia Primary Occupation: Freelance Illustrator Products Used: Daz3D "Victoria 3" figure + V3 Morph Expansion Pak (Zombie) + "Jack Pumpkin" figure (Sunglasses by BatLab) - Poser 5 was used to create the basic renders (using different lighting set-ups) - Photoshop 5 was used to blend and composite the various renders using Layer Effects. Note: This was originally made for another current contest with a Halloween theme, but I missed the deadline by a whisker. I liked how it turned out so I decided to make it my 3rd and final entry here. Happy Halloween everyone! The reflections were Photoshop cheats:
unfortunately I didn't have enough time to experiment with real raytraced reflections as planned, but I actually like how it turned out in the end...I used the same image on both lenses, but distorted them (with "twirl" and "pinch") in slightly different ways, then "smudged" the outer areas to better conform to the edges of the glass...
The "smudge" tool blurrs things a little, so I think that creates a nice depth-of-field effect on the reflections and enhances the realism...
